Some of my fondest memory’s as a child growing up in Chapel Hill was with my father on Saturday afternoons getting my hair cut at the local barbershop in Carrboro. Grady and Clyde were the barbers and I couldn’t wait to go to the barbershop to listen to their stories and tall tales. I remember how I felt right at home when I walked through the door. When dreaming up Mark Christopher Salon with my better half, Mark, the one thing we put before anything else was how the client felt when they walked in the door. We wanted a clean modern salon, but we didn’t want to make it stuffy. We wanted each and every client who walked through the door to feel welcome and appreciated. In our partnership, Mark brings the experience of a stylist to each and every decision. I bring the experience of the client. You see, I have been a client my entire life. I approach every decision from the clients perspective. Every decision from the lighting and color of the walls to the products we sell was made with the perspective of the client in mind. We realize without loyal clients we wouldn’t have a business.
We love our clients! We love our staff! We must be doing something right because we have been voted by our clients the Midtown Magazine’s Best Salon in Raleigh to get a haircut three years running and we’ve only been open three years! This has been a labor of love for both of us and we are looking forward to Mark Christopher Salon serving the greater Raleigh, NC area for many years to come.
